New Express Entry Draw Has Been the Largest in 8 Months

In the latest Express Entry draw held on October 2, Canada sent the largest number of invitations to apply for permanent residence since January 2019.

The Government of Canada sent 3,900 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to permanent residence candidates during the Express Entry draw held on October 2, 2019. 

During this draw, 300 more invitations were sent compared to the previous draw held on September 18. The last time Canada sent 3,900 invitations within the Express Entry system was January 23, 2019.

This year, the total number of ITAs issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) reached 67,300.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)’s cut-off score in this draw round was 464, which is 2 points higher compared to the previous draw’s score.

IRCC used the tie-break rule in the draw held on October 2. This means that all candidates with a CRS score of 464 or higher, who received ITAs in this draw, submitted their profiles in the Express Entry system before September 20, 2019, 03:05:04 pm UTC.
