New Express Entry Draw: the Number of Invitations Remains at a Very High Level

During the Express Entry draw, which was held on July 24, Canada sent the largest number of invitations for the second time, while the minimum score further decreased.

The Government of Canada issued 3,600 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to permanent residence candidates during the Express Entry draw held on July 24, 2019. 

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)’s cut-off score in this invitation round was 459, which is 1 point lower than in the previous selection draw.

The draw of July 24 was the second one in a row, in which 3,600 invitations were sent. This is the largest figure since January 23.

This year, the total number of ITAs issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) reached 49,000.

IRCC used the tie-break rule in the selection draw of July 24. This means that all candidates with a CRS score of 459 or higher, who received ITAs in this draw, submitted their profiles in the Express Entry system before May 25, 2019, 14:40:52 UTC.
