The province of New Brunswick will facilitate the immigration process for foreign skilled workers with in-demand occupations.
In an update published on Friday, July 26, the province of New Brunswick stated that occasionally it will invite immigration candidates directly from the Express Entry pool in response to the provincial labour market needs.
Candidates selected this way will receive a Letter of Interest from the province of New Brunswick through their Express Entry profiles.
A provincial nomination gives an additional 600 points in the Express Entry system and guarantees an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
Applicants who have received a New Brunswick Letter of Interest must email the province and attach a copy of the received Letter of Interest, as well as their Express Entry profile number. After that, the province will send an invitation to apply for the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program’s Express Entry Labour Market Stream.
All applicants who have received the invitation to apply will have to meet the requirements of the provincial Express Entry Labour Market Stream.
Previously, in order to receive an invitation to apply, the candidate had to register with the provincial electronic system and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) application.
The new way of sending invitations does not cancel the previous one and will be used in addition to invitations based on the EOI system.
