High-skilled specialists who have a job offer in Yukon and are registered in the Express Entry system can apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry Stream of the territorial program.
The Express Entry Stream of the Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) offers permanent residency in Canada to foreign workers who meet the requirements of one of the federal immigration programs functioning within the Express Entry system.
To apply for participation in the Express Entry Stream, the applicant needs to meet the following requirements:
- Have an active Express Entry profile in the Express Entry system, get an Express Entry Profile Number and a Job Seeker Validation Code
- Meet the criteria of one of the federal immigration programs: Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades Program or Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Have a job offer in Yukon in occupations categorized as NOC skill levels 0, A or B. Employers need to provide a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) in order to prove that they could not find a candidate among permanent residents and citizens of Canada
- Have sufficient funds to move and settle in Yukon according to the requirements of the federal immigration programs
