Do you dream of working for the Government of Canada? You can do it!
Foreign-born permanent residents of Canada have the same rights and duties as Canadian citizens, with a few exceptions. This means that immigrants in Canada can be employed in the public services sector, for instance, in federal government agencies, counsels, and committees anywhere in Canada.
Canadian permanents residents with foreign passports are not allowed to vote, run political campaigns, and hold positions that require a high level of security. In other words, as long as you don’t have Canadian citizenship, you cannot replace Justin Trudeau or the Secretary of Defence.
But that is not a problem! There are plenty of employment opportunities in the public services sector as federal government agencies, counsels, and committees are recruiting various talented Canadians from all across the country who are interested in working in federal institutions.
The Government of Canada has created a specialized website for publishing federal organizations’ job offers. Currently, they are seeking members of national committees, directors of departments, and other specialists.
Who is Qualified?

Although, salaries are on the level with high requirements. You can earn C$100K to C$300 annually (and sometimes even more) in the public service in Canada.
