The Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program has been created for intermediate-skilled workers who want to immigrate to one of the Atlantic provinces of Canada.
The Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program is one of the three programs of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot intended for intermediate-skilled workers who have received a job offer in one of the Atlantic provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island).
To apply for participation in the Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program, the applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Have worked at least 1,560 hours in the last 3 years:
— in an occupation categorized as NOC skill level C
— or as a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse (NOC skill level A 3012) or as a licensed practical nurse (NOC skill level B 3233) — in this case, it is required to have a job offer to work as a nurse’s aide, orderly or patient services associate (NOC skill level C 3413) or a home support worker (NOC skill level C 4412)
- Have a permanent full-time job offer in occupations categorized as NOC skill levels 0, A, B or C from an employer in one of the Atlantic provinces
- Have graduated from a post-secondary institution, hold a degree, diploma or certificate. If the program has been completed outside Canada, the applicant should provide an Educational Credential Assessment report
- Have a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 4 or higher for English or French. The eligible tests include IELTS and CELPIP for English and TEF or TCF for French
Have sufficient funds to settle and live in Canada (this is not required or those who already live and work in Canada on a valid work permit)
