Nova Scotia Invites French-Speaking Immigration Applicants

In a recent immigration draw, Nova Scotia sent invitations to candidates with a high level of French proficiency.

On September 4, Nova Scotia held an immigration draw within the provincial nominee program’s Labour Market Priorities Stream and sent invitations to French-speaking applicants.

During the draw, 204 letters of interest were sent to candidates who speak French at the level 8 or higher according to the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB).

To receive a letter of interest, the candidate must also be fluent in English and have the CLB level of 6 or higher.

Those who receive a letter of interest from Nova Scotia have 30 calendar days to submit a full immigration application.

The Labour Market Priorities Stream offers permanent residence permits to sought-after specialists who have received a letter of interest from representatives of the Nova Scotia Nominee Program. To be able to immigrate through the Labour Market Priorities Stream, you need to meet certain requirements.

During 2019, Nova Scotia sent 1,124 letters of interest to candidates within the Labour Market Priorities Stream.
